  • The client, a leading provider of software and services, is also involved in providing training through their associates.
  • A reduction in training was observed at an overall level, however, the factor for this reduction needed to be analyzed as both change in platform as well as overall market degrowth was playing a role here.
  • The client needed to understand what contributed most to the sales reduction among the platform transition and market slowdown.

TurnB Approach

The training data for the current period and for previous years were collected to analyze and understand trends in training.

Various factors affecting the training were mapped and formulated hypothesis for the analysis of training.

Various analyses were conducted to study the change in market behavior from the old platform to the new platform.

Analysis to check the seasonality, market trends and growth trends for specific time frames was completed to understand the differences in behavior in the new platform.

Stock-ups were analysed during the final months of the old platform to understand if they were the reason for a slow volume in the initial months of new platform.

Deep-dive analysis was performed to check the various trends at area and associate levels.

Correlation study between the training materials and various other parameters such as classes, certifications, # of active associates etc. were done to understand the changes in these parameters due to the platform change.

Implications

The reasons for sales reduction during the shift from the old platform to new platform was brought into notice at leadership level.

Measures to increase the adoption of the new platform were deployed by the leadership team so that the training volumes were almost at par with the old platform in 6 months.
