Business
Challenge:

  • The client is a multinational corporation specializing in software, services, and productivity solutions.
  • They offer training for learners on their technologies through third-party organizations called partners at a discounted price.
  • While performing multiple analysis specific to trainings, TurnB identified a significant variation in duration of trainings provided by partners from standard training duration.
  • Client wanted to perform a deep dive analysis and provide actionable insights to reduce the ETA for training..

TurnB Approach

Data Gathering
Gathered required information from multiple data sources.

Start Date and End Date of all trainings – Required information is gathered by consolidating the training related info submitted by partners.

List of courses available in the program and their respective standard duration.

Logic Creation

Brainstormed and flagged down multiple scenarios to be considered while calculation of training duration – holidays, weekends etc.

The standard duration varies across courses – After analyzing the data, devised a weighted average method to calculate the average increase in training duration from standard time.

Analysis and Insights

Analyzed the results and identified multiple key insights critical to the reason for increased training duration.

Sliced and diced the results at partner, region and course level and identified unique patterns and behaviors key to increased training duration.

Implications

Region level, partner level and course level view on average training duration provided actionable insights to client to work on.

Measures were implemented by the sales team and account managers in specific regions where duration is the highest.

Resulted in a 20% reduction in overall training duration.
